06.13.2010 – Family as Metaphor

Family as Metaphor – 06.13.2010

My sermon title and the idea for this sermon comes from the Rev. Dr. Mark Belletini, minister of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus, Ohio. Several years ago, Mark preached about how the word family is used, and how people like Dr. Dobson (of Focus on the Family) claim that they get to say who can be a family and who can’t. The issues are still with us, and Pride Month is a good time for us to re-visit them.
